singing venues: Suffolk and Essex

Sing Out Saturdays run regular monthly sessions and one-off singing days in Suffolk and Essex.

Monthly sessions are held in Hadleigh and Wivenhoe. Each session costs £9 (includes tea, biscuits, coffee).

Ansell Centre, Hadleigh

10.30am – 1pm
Market Place
Hadleigh IP7 5DL

Market Place leads off the south end of the High Street opposite the White Lion Hotel. Hadleigh United Reformed Church/ Ansell Centre is on the left. There is free parking in the High Street Car park (52 spaces) which is accessible from Magdalen Road as well as a smaller (21 spaces) free car park at the end of Market Place past the Ansell Centre.

There is a small water barrier lip about 1cm high at the main entrance, but wheelchairs and mobility scooters negotiate it with no problem. Both doors at the front open and the inner doors are wider with a small extra door to the left of the main door that makes the opening as wide as the front doors. There is a dedicated disabled loo in the building.

Scout Hall, Wivenhoe

2pm – 4.30pm
High Street
Wivenhoe CO7 9AB

Just off the High Street, entrance runs along the side of the Royal Mail building. Parking at the Scout Hall is limited, but there is a free car park further down the High Street on the right (entrance via Clifton Terrace). There is also on-road parking on the High Street, but it's often very full.

The hall is disabled-friendly, with a ramp and a disabled toilet. Only one of the doors open at the entrance, but there is a fire door at the back of the Munson Room. One of the Scout leaders has to use a wheelchair, and uses the front entrance with no problem.
